Dancehall superstar Tommy Lee Sparta has recorded an EDM collaboration with G1fted Music, a talented duo known in Philadelphia for their unique brand of EDM-club-hip hop music.
“Yea, man, mi like dem vibe. They journeyed to Westmoreland with me fi a stage show inna west After mi lock it down, we stayed over in Montego Bay, and then the following day, I made an appearance in a music video they are shooting for their single, Mellow Me Out’, the vibe was crazy in Sav, crazy bike man roll out,” Tommy Lee Sparta said.
On Wednesday, after shooting their ‘Mellow Me Out’ video, they returned to Kingston to record the new EDM-dancehall song.
“We are trying to bring that EDM fusion to reggae. Who doesn’t love Bob Marley and reggae music? We are trying to tap into that energy, that feeling of togetherness, that vibe that makes reggae great and blend it with our own style of EDM,” Pete of G1fted Music, said.
“We are at the forefront of a new wave, a different style of mixing EDM music in Philly, and we want to combine that the with the originality of reggae-dancehall and make great music.”
G1fted Music said that he loved working with Tommy Lee Sparta.
“He has an incredible voice and presence, I loved his videos, that’s why we asked him to play a cameo role in our new video. He is a thug with a ratchet, what do you call it, a three star, where he ties me up to torture me, he nailed it, the video is going to be crazy yo, 1000 bikes all over the town,” he said.
He is a talented producer, artiste, songwriter, and DJ, and also the founder of G1fted Music Productions LLC. Based in Philadelphia, he is able to play an extensive array of musical instruments (guitar, piano, trumpet, drums, bass, and drum programming), and write in any style, for any person or film scenario needed. He has completed three collaborations with Donovan Knowles for the artistes Beyonce, Ginuwine and Matchbox 20.
“I met Knowles at a conference and we did three tracks, record and song sessions by satellites, one of those songs was eventually sold to another artiste,” he said.
Now teamed up with Thorobred Bangerz, G1fted Music has created a powerful network of Super Producers, Engineers, Songwriters, and artists all unique in their way, providing something different to bring to the table then their other partners.
