A 10-year-old old boy has been taken into police custody in connection with the stabbing. It is reported that about 3 o’clock yesterday, a man discovered the child with several stab wounds, was seen lying on the ground on a play field in Port Morant. The child was transferred to a hospital in Kingston after he turned up with stab wounds some time after 4:40 pm. The incident reportedly occurred at Land Top in Port Morant, St Thomas.
The child is said to be stable.
He was rushed to the Princess Margaret Hospital and then to a Kingston hospital.
Residents say the 10-year-old boy is known to have had a history of violence.
