In the world of Poetry and Spoken Word in Jamaica we have a few individuals that are pushing the boundaries. One such poet and author is Simone FruitTree Dewar. She has been making waves since she entered the scene within the past 5 years. During Covid she wrote 4 books and released her debut EP titled “THOUGHTS”. It was produced by her label Push A Yute who saw the diamond in the rough. Since then we have gotten pieces like Bubbla, Life Lessons, Word A Dub just to name a few. She also chipped in by adding more books to her catalog.
Now 2024 and she is releasing her latest project “THOUGHTS UNCUT” and its a riveting and emotional project. Its a three piece. Track listing consist of “MORE”, “HEY YOU” & “DAT YOU PICK”. The instrumentals stand out which compliments each every line of the delivery.
The project is being distributed by VPal Music who originally was the distributor for “Thoughts”. The production and compostion was mainly done by I Talented of the group Rockaz Elements. All parties is part of team Push A Yute who has always focused on the talent within the camp. This project speaks volumes and if you’re a fan of Spoken Word this one is for you.
