Nine-time Grammy Award winner Rihanna posted a racy topless photo of herself while wearing purple silk tap shorts from her Savage X Fenty line while dripping in amethyst jadeite jewels made of her birthstone. It seems the singer, who turns 33 this week was really feeling herself as her birthday approaches.
“When @popcaanmusic said “me nuh wan ya wear no lingerie tonight fa me girl,” she wrote quoting lyrics from Popcaan’s 2018 single, Naked off his Forever album.
The post attracted 3 million likes in only a few hours.
Rihanna’s long-awaited ninth album, R9 is on its way, she recently told fans it may appear sooner than (they) think.
“I like to look at it as a reggae-inspired or reggae-infused album,” she explained in an interview. “It’s not gonna be typical of what you know as reggae. But you’re going to feel the elements in all of the tracks.”
“Reggae always feels right to me. It’s in my blood. It doesn’t matter how far or long removed I am from that culture or my environment that I grew up in; it never leaves.”
Early last year she also confirmed that she’s working with American music producer Pharrell Williams of The Neptunes for the new album and according to several sources, the record may also be influenced by Jamaican-born producer Supa Dups who has worked with the likes of Beenie Man, Sean Paul, and Elephant Man.
