Florida-based dancehall starlet Myoka is excited about her latest single, the racy Seductive, which has a catchy hook and savvy lyrics talking about romantic matters.
“I’m very excited about this Seductive song. I am receiving a lot of positive feedback about it, especially the dirty version. It’s getting a lot of love in the streets and I am grateful to all DJs who are playing the clean version, it’s a real party song for the ladies,” Myoka said.
She plans to bankroll a video for the single given the positive early feedback.
The Kingston-born singjay recently visited the island and spent some downtime in her native Denham Town, where she organized an informal lyme and music event with children and adults.
“I spent some of my formative years in Denham Town before I migrated to the States. I’m so happy that I was able to come back and interact with the kids from West Kingston, mi cook up some chicken back, buy a bottle of rum, cook up some rice and play some music, and I visited my father in Oracabessa, St. Ann and did the same thing there. I’m always repping my Jamaican community,” she said.
She also performed during the halftime show of the netball series between Jamaica’s Sunshine Girls and England’s Roses during the Horizon Series at the National Indoor Sports Centre on Monday.
Myoka is known for the singles, Anything is Possible and Irie Christmas.
