Kaci Fennell’s kinky black monokini and boots outfit that she donned for the Trinidad Carnival got the blogosphere hot and bothered earlier this week.
Despite the fact that the outfits worn to Carnival are traditionally revealing, many on social media were not fans of Kaci’s get-up.
One Facebook user, Sassiebabe Johnson said: “No that’s a lingerie girl. Pls don’t represent my country wearing that.”
Another commenter noted, “That looks like a stripper outfit tho,” while Caroll Christiaanse posted, “Looks very trashy to me, I’m disappointed because you have a regal appearance and should not wear (my opinion) things like this.”
A number of persons commenting on Kaci’s Instagram page jumped to the 22-year-old’s defence.
Yaadiegal: “So a few weeks ago y’all were cheering for her when she was also wearing a bathing suit that showed more flesh, but this is scandalous? Confused bunch!”
“U people need to leave this young lady alone, let her live. its carnival she’s supposed to dress half naked, it’s funny when she was wearing a two piece bathing suit no one had nothing to say, actually y’all thought it was cute but now she’s wearing something more covered but yet still sexy y’all wanna bash her,” said user kimelegant.
One commenter, geminichiq, recalled the recent incident where Minister of Youth and Culture, Lisa Hanna, came under fire for posting a picture on social media of herself in a swimsuit at the beach.
“Ppl need to quit saying she is dressed sleezily it is so degrading. She is appropriately attired for carnival and very well covered. Have u ppl that trying to belittle her even seen the bacchanal jamaica costume that she modeled and how little fabric that had in comparison to this? And unno never carry on so? is it cause she is in Trinidad why it is a problem? i can bet u are the same set of ppl that thought lisa hanna was inappropriately dressed in a bathing suit at the beach?!!!” said geminichiq.
