Jamie Ridley, a former associate of Vybz Kartel, was killed this morning during a drive by in Portmore, St. Catherine. Two other persons were shot and injured during the incident which happened during a fish fry in the Braeton Phase One area.
The deceased has been identified as 34-year-old businessman Jamie Ridley of a Kingston 8 address.
Bounce876.com understands that the incident occurred at a fish fry about 1:30 am, where patrons were gathered when a Toyota Corolla motor vehicle pulled up.
It is said that the occupants of the vehicle opened gunfire hitting Ridley and two other persons.
An off duty officer who was at the scene reportedly challenged the men, however they managed to escape.
The injured were taken to hospital where Ridley was pronounced dead and the others admitted.
No motive has been established for the shooting.
