Dancehall rising star Dexta Daps will be heading to St. Maarten in August for a big dancehall show dubbed “Dancehall Hottest Party’.
Dreamteam Entertainment, a newly established entertainment company on the island of St. Maarten, will now be booking a variety of local reggae and dancehall acts for events in that country. Founded and managed by Dwayne Arrindell and Elizabeth Chittick on January 2015, the company will be kicking off its first event, ‘Dancehall Hottest Party’ on August 29th featuring dancehall sensation Dexta Daps and Bugle in the Tropicana Ballroom in St. Maarten.
“We have a dynamic team which we have started off with and we will continue to grow. Our first big event is expected to be a blockbuster as Dexta Daps is one of the hottest new names in dancehall, while Bugle is an established reggae-dancehall singjay. We love music and culture, we plan to take it to the next level in the entertainment world. We do marketing, booking, promotions, advertising of shows for the island,” Dwayne Arrindell, chief executive officer of Dreamteam Entertainment, said.
Dreamteam Entertainment also wants to forge partnerships with tourism organisations in various Caribbean islands to host entertainment events that can showcase the culture and appeal of individual islands.
“Our company goals are to promote our island worldwide and our brand and company as well. We aim to also give back to the community, adults, the disabled, elderly and children in many different forms because we believe that we must change our society for the better,” Ms. Chittick, marketing manager of Dreamteam Entertainment, said.
