Dancehall superstar Macka Diamond recently copped two awards in the MIA Awards for the female deejay of the year and song of the year for her breakout hit, ‘Dye Dye’ , marking a very successful year for the artiste.
“I would like to thank all those who voted for me and I am keeping my focus and working hard,” she said.
She is now currently on her USA tour which has had successful put stops in Boston, New York and Chicago so far.
“The shows have been going well, no empty houses, people are coming out. My next stop will be California and St Louis. Right now, I am in the New York doing media interviews and dub sessions,” she said.
Macka Diamond is generating a buzz with her single, Karma, and her latest video is in regular rotation on HYPE, RE, CVM and MDTV.
“Right now, Karma gone! It ah shell the streets of New York. My street team premièred the song at Banky Hype day party then tun up the after party. The radio waves tun up this week when Bobby Konders premiered ‘Karma’ on Hot 97 and I did an interview; it was a great look,” she said.
