A female complainant found out the hard way that the old truism, “a friend in need is a friend indeed” is not so true after all. She decided to lend her motor vehicle to an accused woman, Renee Crookshal, who later took said vehicle to a used car dealer and tried selling if for $300,000.
The accused woman was given a deposit of $200,000.
Upon investigation it was revealed that the documents were fraudulent.
A subsequent report was made to the Spanish Town Police and Crookshal was arrested and charged for obtaining money by false pretence.
